The custom of decorating the bride with flowers is very old and comes from the Arab world on the day of the wedding the bride was adorned with orange blossoms, white and delicate, a symbol of fertility.
The ancient Egyptians adorned the bride of scented flowers and fragrant herbs to ward off evil spirits.
The bouquet is traditionally the last gift the groom gives the bride the morning of the wedding, in order to officially seal the end of the period of engagement and herald the beginning of a new life together. The custom is that the home is delivered to the future mother-in-law or best man but the bride to choose it.
Tradition has it that at the end of reception, the bride invitations around if all the single girls and, with his back, throwing the bouquet to them: the lucky who manages to grab should get married within a year.
